10 months old!

Sophie and Caleb met up at Lake Hefner today to enjoy the great weather. They had a picnic then played on the slide for a little while. I think they both really enjoyed it. There were zero tantrums or fits, which is a huge improvement from yesterday. They both had quite the attitude at church yesterday (I'm sure Caleb's parents are OK with me saying that!!)!

Sophie doing a cheer for 10 months of life!

And let the crying begin...She only had me fooled this morning. She was fussy the rest of the day, as captured here in these photos.

What a sad way to document 10 months...but I guess it documents reality.

Zoo Trip

Matt and I took Sophie to the zoo last week. She has been once before, but just didn't seem very interested. She loved it this time. She was pointing and smiling at all the animals - I think I had a smile on my face the whole time from watching her.Anyone know what this is???
Posing with the flamingos
Trying to figure the turtle out...
One of the lesser-attractive sights
Checking out the gorillas
What a HAM!!!

Movie time

Sophie asks me (we communicate by her pointing to what she wants and then getting really excited when I figure it out) almost everyday to watch her favorite "movie" - Praise Baby. When I go up to the TV/DVD player she screams, throws her arms up in excitement and just recently started clapping! Doesn't take much to please her! So, here she is watching her movie...she takes it very seriously.

Where's Sophie????

Peek-a-boo!!!
Where's Cruz???
Peek-a-boo!!
One of Sophie's favorite things is to play peek-a-boo. She uses curtains, napkins, books, dolls, clothes, blankets, and tonight used a see-thru container. Very creative little girl!

Happy Easter

Happy early Easter! Sophie had her 9 month/Easter pictures taken and they turned out really well! She did so well and was such a happy little girl that day! I'm telling you, she's a real ham in front of the camera! We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter day and remembers the Truth of Easter and the goodness and love of Jesus!

Spring was here...

Boooooooo to Oklahoma weather! Beautiful spring was here and now it's freezing and snow is on it's way. YUCK!! Sophie is disappointed because she so much enjoys playing outside. And our beautiful blooms are having to put up with this nasty weather, too - sad day.
By the look of Sophie's face, she has already figured out her daddy is a goofball!

Looking pretty with her Momma Jo.

Hope everyone stays warm and cozy. And...BOOMER SOONER!!

RIP rat tail!

Well, we finally gave Sophie her first hair cut. She probably could have had it at 3 months, but I have just been having a hard time letting go. I know her little rat tail probably looks awful, but to me it was just precious. I loved running my fingers through it and brushing her bangs over to the side. But, I know she's my child, so of course I think it's cute. I'm sure other parents are thinking, give that poor child a hair cut. So, I present to you the before picture...sniff...sniff... And the afters

P.S. Sorry for the multiple postings. Just remember I'm going on 8+ months of minimal sleep...sometimes blogging just takes too much energy!
