After 15 attempts of getting a "cute" pictures, this was the best! She's everywhere and was grabbing the paper and crumbling it and wouldn't look at the camera. Oh well - at least I have it documented! Sophie is weighing in at 18#, is 25.5" long and her head circumference is in the 75 - 90th percentile. (Heed! Pants! Now!...movie quote from So I Married an Axe Murderer. It's a funny quote if you've seen the movie. Not funny at all if you haven't!)

Daddy Graduated!!
Matt graduated Saturday from UCO with his MBA! We're so proud of him and so excited that he will be at home every night and won't have to study every weekend! He did so well - was nominated for MBA Most Outstanding Student and graduated 3rd (I think) in his class - all while working full-time and becoming a daddy! Our families came in for the big day and we had a little brunch for him. It made Sophie a little tired...

Sickness update
The Sophster has a double ear infection and two bright white teef coming through on the bottom left. Fun times! So, we've been nose-dropping, bulb-syringing, snot-wiping, humidifying...and snuggling. That's the best part. Poor thing, she's still as cute as can be!

I'm a slacker
I haven't updated in a while - so sorry. We've all been sick around here and it's hard to get real excited about taking pictures or blogging for that matter. But, here are some fun pictures from the last couple of weeks. The girls hanging out in Weatherford Thanksgiving morning.

We started solids!
And look at the mess it makes! Just about once a day we get one of these explosions...I guess that's just part of it. The first time or two it was a little funny, now I just try to keep my food down while changing her! She's going to kill me one of these days, but doesn't she have the cutest little teaso (that's 'bottom' in Lebanese for all of you whities!)!!

Happy Girl
Sophie loves watching Cruz. She could just sit all day and smile at her. Lately she has started to giggle, but only at Cruz. She's so darn cute and happy in this video; I had to share it.

Like father, like daughter
She's smarter than I give her credit for. She actually pays enough attention to her daddy to be able to imitate him almost exactly. She's reclined, has her arm rests, sitting in her undies (sorry Matt), and holding the remote. The only difference is her need for a paci. I think she's almost ready to give it up. We're making progress, especially at night. She's doing better soothing herself without it. Just give me (and her) time; don't judge all of you paci haters. Her mom and Aunt Skye required paci for 3+ years.
Sophie's first voting experience
Sophie went with me to vote last week. The cute old ladies who took my name couldn't get enough of her and offered to hold her while I signed in. Sure they could. Then they offered to hold her while I voted, but Sophie wanted to be a part of this historical day. She even pointed to the her favorite candidate, but unfortunately her vote didn't count. Doesn't she just look like a little politician here!

Fall fun
We went to Lake Hefner for some fall photos this weekend. It was perfect outside, the sky was beautiful and the trees were gorgeous.

Sophie's first Halloween
Sophie had a fun first Halloween. She was an adorable (not biased!) pumpkin! We went to our church's Trunk or Treat and she loved seeing all the babies and kids dressed up. She just lights up when she sees other babies. Ready to go trick or treatin'!
Isn't she cute!
Isn't she cute!
The three girls!
These are some of our friends from church. Andy and his son Michael, the groom, and Jonathon and his daughter Molly, the bride. How cute is that!
Sophie was so excited to see the Blue Monster, Caleb.
Her one and only treat. This really cute old guy was handing them out instead of candy. Matt and I even got one!
Sophie and Nate posing. Nate was more interested in the golf game. Can you blame him?

This weekend we had a nice getaway to Dallas. Matt has a friend who got married in Vegas so we went to the reception this weekend. It was in his parent's house and we pretty much just hung out on the couch. Sophie was all over her daddy.
We decided to check out the backyard. It was huge - at least 2-3 acres. They had a pool with hot tub and then if you walk past the pool there is a pond with a waterfall and tons of open space. They also had a basketball court and two volleyball courts. It was a huge house!
We only stayed a couple of hours and then decided to head to the hotel to check in and get ready to go to supper and then the mall. We bought tickets to a Mavs game, but...
Two somebodies decided to take a nap. So, we ate supper and then went to the Galleria to do some Christmas shopping. We ran out of time for the game, but it was probably going to be pretty difficult to carry Sophie around so it wasn't a huge loss.
We tried to sleep in Sunday morning, but our daughter had different plans. So we took our time getting around and then met my mom and sisters for lunch. We ate at Cafe Brazil and they had the best food and coffee! After lunch Matt headed back home to OKC and we girls checked in to our hotel. They all came down to Dallas to attend the New Kids on the Block concert with me (you should be jealous). Sophie enjoyed the chair at the new hotel while we got ready.

We did some more shopping and grabbed a bite to eat before heading off. Sophie was happy during the "goodbye" picture, but as soon as I left she cried for 2.5 hours.
Good thing I didn't know she was upset, or I wouldn't have enjoyed the concert nearly as much as I did. Here's the opening of the best concert I've ever attended!
They came out in their Celtics jersey for Hangin' Tough.
We had so much fun! I can't believe we saw them 15 years ago! I can still remember being checked out of school early in the forth grade to go see them. I was decked out in my NKOTB jacket, shirt and huge button of Joey. Not so much this time, but there were tons of girls who were! It was funny to see thousands of girl my age, many of them pregnant, screaming, yelling and jumping up and down.
